Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cloud-native machine learning analytics platforms on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Build services for deploying data ingestion pipelines and machine learning models.
- Create data policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures supporting analytics availability and business outcomes.
- Develop data and analytics solutions and enhancements to improve Vistra’s data architecture.
- Research and recommend data management processes and innovations.
- Partner with vendors, service providers, business stakeholders, and internal teams to define analytics needs and meet KPIs and SLAs.
- Translate analytics business needs into functional requirements and create or update documentation.
- Participate in analytics projects and Agile teams, implementing changes to mitigate risks and optimize analytics performance.
- Support Technology Services and improve the user experience of supported platforms.
- Analyze code for non-standard practices, errors, and security vulnerabilities and present remediation plans.
- Manage and deliver enterprise-wide initiatives related to supported platforms.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in a technology or business field.
- 2+ years of experience in an SRE, operations, or DevOps role as part of a team.
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
- Kubernetes subject matter expertise, preferably with EKS.
- Experience writing and maintaining Helm charts.
- Experience maintaining ML stack workloads on Kubernetes, including Airflow, data pipelines, and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Prometheus or other Kubernetes monitoring solutions.
- 2+ years of hands-on Python experience.
- Experience delivering cloud-native DevSecOps solutions on AWS.
- Experience analyzing code for errors, non-standard practices, and security vulnerabilities and creating remediation plans.
- Experience managing enterprise-wide platform initiatives.
- Associate-level AWS certification is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent.
- Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills, including executive-level communications and presentations.
