Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, integrate, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, debug, and enhance complex software applications.
- Gather requirements and prepare BRD/SRD documentation when needed.
- Design and implement tests, test-automation suites, verification plans, and quality assurance procedures.
- Participate in code reviews, deployment processes, change controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply security and privacy principles while developing and maintaining software.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business users, project managers, and other engineers to deliver team objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote reuse of existing products and functionality.
- Complete required training and use learning tools such as Pluralsight for professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 2–6 years of software development experience.
- Experience developing both front-end and back-end software.
- Thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of application development toolkits, application frameworks, containerization, and cross-platform interoperability.
- Experience with technologies such as C#, Java, HTML, Node.js, CSS, JSON, Angular, and JavaScript.
- Ability to resolve hardware, software, and communications malfunctions and understand their business impact.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred.
