Software Engineer, AI Developer Productivity (MTS)
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and ship full-stack features across desktop experiences, backend services, data and analytics pipelines, dashboards, and AI coding-tool integrations.
- Build backend APIs, data models, ingestion flows, dashboards, and user experiences connecting AI-tool usage to actionable engineering outcomes.
- Contribute to technical designs and translate product requirements into incremental implementation plans.
- Own production features and services, improving observability, reliability, performance, security, and supportability.
- Build AI-enabled and agentic workflows with evaluation, safeguards, and human oversight.
- Review human- and AI-generated code and participate in design and code reviews.
- Share technical context, constraints, standards, and operational knowledge that supports reliable work by people and AI agents.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience building production software, including full-stack applications, backend services, developer tools, or internal platforms.
- Strong programming fundamentals and proficiency in at least one modern programming language, with the ability to work across frontend, backend, APIs, data stores, and service boundaries.
- Experience delivering features through design, implementation, testing, rollout, and production ownership.
- Practical understanding of data structures, API design, automated testing, source control, CI/CD, and secure software development practices.
- Ability to debug technical issues using logs and metrics and make thoughtful technical tradeoffs with appropriate guidance.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills with engineers and product partners.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor while validating outputs and maintaining quality.
- Ability to write precise, structured prompts and provide the context, examples, and constraints needed for reliable AI-assisted development.
- A related technical degree is required.
- Preferred experience includes developer tools, AI coding-tool integrations, internal platforms, telemetry systems, enterprise desktop applications, React, TypeScript, Go, service APIs, event pipelines, analytics systems, cloud- and Kubernetes-based services, dashboards, plugin systems, command-line tools, LLM applications, agentic workflows, prompt evaluation, and AI safety and quality controls.
