Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support MuleSoft APIs and integrations using Mule 4, Anypoint Platform, DataWeave, RAML, and OpenAPI specifications.
- Design, deploy, and maintain APIs and gateways with Azure API Management, including policies for authentication, routing, transformation, rate limiting, and traffic management.
- Integrate Azure API Management with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, Service Bus, and Key Vault.
- Perform interface analysis, data mapping, payload validation, transformation design, and development of reusable integration patterns.
- Own integration work through requirements analysis, design, development, deployment, production validation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support.
- Configure API security using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, managed identities, client certificates, and API keys.
- Support CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code deployment practices, release validation, defect resolution, and performance tuning.
- Monitor and optimize APIs and integration services using Splunk, Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and MuleSoft Anypoint Monitoring.
- Collaborate with architects, analysts, developers, DevOps teams, platform teams, operations, and delivery teams.
Requirements
- Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience or a combination of education, training, and related experience.
- Requires 7+ years of experience in enterprise integration, middleware, or API development.
- Requires 3+ years of hands-on MuleSoft development experience with Mule 4, CloudHub 2.0, and Anypoint Platform.
- Requires 2+ years of experience developing cloud-native solutions in Microsoft Azure with a focus on API architecture and Azure API Management.
- Strong experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting RESTful APIs, SOAP services, API specifications, integration flows, and reusable services.
- Strong experience with DataWeave, JSON, XML, flat files, relational data, SQL, and data transformation concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based development, testing, deployment support, release validation, and production support.
- Experience troubleshooting integration issues, analyzing runtime behavior, resolving defects, and performing performance tuning.
- Experience with Azure API Management features including API publishing, policies, products, versioning, security, gateway concepts, and Azure service integrations.
- Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, certificates, API keys, JWT, and managed identities.
- Experience working in medium-to-large enterprise environments with formal SDLC, secure development, documentation, and production support practices.
- Preferred experience includes integration modernization or migration, MUnit, automated testing, API and integration regression testing, Enterprise Integration Patterns, API-led connectivity, event-driven architecture, asynchronous integration, observability, monitoring, alerting, logging, API governance, and insurance or financial services.
