Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain business-critical APIs and services with a focus on high availability and scalability.
- Provide updates to team leaders and participate in sprint planning and team meetings.
- Write well-tested and maintainable code.
- Contribute to building reusable code and libraries for cross-team use.
- Implement solutions to scale services while meeting business requirements.
- Utilize monitoring tools to discover bottlenecks and optimize performance.
- Implement industry best practices for CI/CD, test automation, and logging.
- Participate in on-call rotations and assist with incident response.
Requirements
- MS or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
- 3+ years of software development experience in backend cloud applications.
- Experience in Kotlin, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot, Bottle/Gunicorn, or similar backend frameworks.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Elastic Search and caching systems like Memcache or Redis.
- Experience with REST, gRPC, or GraphQL request processing.
- Ability to adapt in high growth, fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
