Responsibilities
- Build lighthouse software projects and strategic proof-of-concepts initiated by SAP’s CTO or other executives.
- Develop secure, scalable full-stack applications combining traditional software components with agentic AI capabilities.
- Design, document, and implement APIs and software using cloud infrastructure, relational databases, microservice architectures, and distributed systems.
- Analyze and solve issues in existing and new code while delivering high-quality results.
- Explore emerging technologies and collaborate with developers, architects, designers, and other SAP teams.
- Present technical ideas to stakeholders and participate in code reviews and agile development processes.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in languages such as TypeScript, Go, or Rust and solid computer science fundamentals.
- Very good knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript plus proficiency in at least one of React, Vue, or Svelte.
- Practical experience designing secure, scalable AI-native applications with agentic AI capabilities.
- Strong understanding of cloud programming, APIs, relational databases, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Good knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including SAP BTP or a hyperscaler.
- A degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
- First professional work experience in a similar software development role.
- Knowledge of machine learning and pipeline setup or maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of agile software development and code-review-driven development processes.
- Fluent written and spoken English and German.
- Strong communication, collaboration, independent working, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
