Responsibilities
- Work with Account Executives to meet sales goals across large enterprise accounts in the UK and Ireland.
- Manage all technical aspects of a sales campaign, from initial meetings to final presentations.
- Write and organize technical responses for RFPs and formal proposals.
- Build and present proof-of-concept applications that solve specific customer problems.
- Explain technical details and business benefits to executives and stakeholders.
- Represent Appian at industry events, conferences, and seminars.
- Build long-term relationships with technical staff at target accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to get the resources or information needed to close a deal.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 10+ years as a Solutions Consultant or Sales Engineer for enterprise software.
- A background in hands-on technical work, such as previous experience as a Software Engineer or Technical Consultant.
- A partnership mindset with the sales team, taking equal responsibility for account planning and revenue targets.
- Ability to answer deep functional questions and discuss production environments, including APIs, application servers, and databases.
