Responsibilities
- Design and build product features for remote development in self-hosted environments.
- Build and improve open-source projects integrating with VS Code, JetBrains, and other developer tools.
- Develop and maintain AI Gateway and Agent Firewall components of Coder’s AI governance stack.
- Integrate with LLM provider APIs and create AI-powered developer experiences.
- Harden security boundaries and implement enterprise policy controls.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, JetBrains, enterprise customers, Customer Success, and external contributors.
- Document system design, implementation, and operations.
- Rapidly iterate from prototypes to production implementations and contribute to Coder’s open-source ecosystem.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
- At least 1 year of experience writing Go, ideally in the current or most recent position.
- Proficiency building distributed systems in Go.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional debugging and troubleshooting skills with the persistence to drive solutions to completion.
- Experience with TypeScript and React is a bonus.
- Background in developer tooling, platform engineering, or infrastructure as code is a bonus.
