Senior Software Engineer II-GPU/Image building

Responsibilities
- Package and continuously test GPU images across multiple platform services while coordinating firmware versions with hardware engineering teams.
- Maintain a compatibility matrix for GPU drivers across NVIDIA and AMD platforms, including H100, H200, MI300x, and MI325x.
- Develop and maintain Packer, Ansible, Terraform, Python, and shell tooling to automate machine image creation, testing, and deployment.
- Apply security hardening, patch management, and compliance practices to machine images.
- Optimize images for performance, size, boot time, scalability, and operational cost.
- Integrate image creation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Maintain image version control and document configurations, processes, and best practices.
- Monitor image performance and troubleshoot image deployment and runtime issues in cloud environments.
- Track cloud, containerization, and image-management advancements and implement improvements.
Requirements
- Strong experience building Linux operating system images.
- Solid understanding of GPU infrastructure and NCCL and RCCL testing frameworks in fabric-connected environments.
- Hands-on experience building and managing machine images with Packer, cloud-init, Ansible, Python, and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI for automated image pipelines.
- Strong understanding of image-building security practices, including CVE scanning, secrets management, and system hardening.
- Experience in regulated environments such as HIPAA, FedRAMP, or SOC 2 is preferred.
- Knowledge of immutable infrastructure and golden image pipelines is preferred.
- Experience with Chef or Puppet is preferred.
