Member of Technical Staff
Pure StorageResponsibilities
- Design and deploy resilient, resumable, and debuggable microservices and Temporal workflows for enterprise storage CI pipelines.
- Extend scheduling and placement algorithms across bare-metal hardware and virtual machine fleets to improve queue times and infrastructure utilization.
- Build RAG pipelines and agentic workflows over failure logs, vector stores, and test metadata for root-cause analysis, flake classification, and developer triage.
- Establish platform metrics such as time-to-signal and pass/flake rates while operating services end to end and eliminating recurring failures.
- Collaborate with platform and product engineering teams on developer experience improvements, self-service tools, and streamlined integrations.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in typed systems languages such as Go or Rust for backend platform services and proficiency in Python for automation and AI logic integration.
- Practical mastery of distributed microservice fundamentals including concurrency, retries, and idempotency.
- Solid Linux/Unix debugging skills across network, storage, and application layers.
- Knowledge of agentic workflows, prompt design, LLM API integration, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation systems.
- Hands-on experience containerizing microservices and managing workloads with Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with SQL or analytics engines to measure operational impact.
