Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software for Disney’s globally scaled streaming products.
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Build quality products and contribute to technical and architectural decisions.
  • Manage AWS infrastructure supporting DTC supply chain data aggregation and observability systems for Live and VOD.
  • Improve system scale and throughput for high-concurrency workloads.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product teams, project managers, and peers using Scrum and Agile practices.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Java or Python and SQL.
  • Familiarity with DynamoDB or RDS.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud Compute, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with AWS technologies and cloud infrastructure.
  • Understanding of web accessibility fundamentals.
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming models, threading, and concurrency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience.
