Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and build robust production AI/ML systems focused on backend distributed systems and system accuracy.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives from scoping through delivery, coordinating timelines and dependencies across Data, Infrastructure, and ML Engineering.
- Optimize workflows for model training, real-time inference, monitoring, and troubleshooting with AI/ML engineers.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on ML infrastructure for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Define and enforce service-level agreements for latency, throughput, resource utilization, and overall ML-system reliability.
- Develop model-management and continuous-monitoring tools to improve the ML lifecycle.
- Mentor teammates and promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- Experience with large, distributed, high-scale machine-learning applications and strong understanding of MLOps, data structures, and software design principles.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with Java or Go.
- Experience deploying scalable machine-learning models using Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL database technologies and big-data frameworks such as Spark is a plus.
- Experience implementing applications with LLMs and GenAI is a major plus.
