Responsibilities
- Design and develop features for scalable, highly available storage engines used by Couchbase Server and Couchbase Capella.
- Own product improvements and contribute technical ambition toward advancing the platform.
- Collaborate with peers on product requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, and support.
- Produce performant, enterprise-grade software for highly available systems.
- Investigate customer-facing issues, identify root causes, and develop optimal software improvements.
- Create detailed technical specifications for internal and external teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience building enterprise-grade infrastructure or systems software.
- Proficiency in C++, Golang, or Java.
- Experience designing and writing concurrent or multithreaded programs.
- Deep knowledge of operating system concepts and data structures.
- Knowledge of Linux I/O stack and database internals.
- Experience with performance analysis and debugging.
- Knowledge of LSM trees, distributed systems, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
- Strong communication, independent problem-solving, collaboration, and learning skills.
