Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications and microservices.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable code and contribute to coding, code reviews, and refactoring.
- Drive automated testing, unit-test coverage, TDD, BDD, and continuous delivery practices.
- Apply secure coding practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and support security compliance.
- Partner with architects, product owners, cross-functional teams, and DevOps teams on distributed systems, deployments, observability, and production resilience.
- Lead technical discussions, contribute to design documentation, and mentor junior engineers.
- Promote modern engineering practices including trunk-based development, feature flags, progressive delivery, infrastructure as code, and continuous monitoring.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java; working knowledge of C++ is a plus.
- Deep expertise in system design and microservices architecture.
- Experience with trunk-based development, feature flags, progressive delivery, testing automation, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and secure coding.
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of performance tuning, observability, and production monitoring is a plus.
- Proficiency in English; Japanese is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
