Responsibilities
- Partner with the Engineering Manager to define technical direction, roadmaps, strategy, and architecture.
- Own code quality, testing, reliability, performance, and engineering standards across the team.
- Lead technical planning, discovery, solution design, and engineering decision-making.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration and represent the team's technical work across the engineering organization.
- Mentor and develop engineers at all levels.
- Connect technical decisions to customer and business outcomes while balancing delivery with long-term technical health.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading technical direction, making architectural decisions, and solving complex engineering problems.
- Deep expertise in software engineering, architecture, testing, reliability, performance, and maintainable system design.
- Ability to apply a product mindset and connect technical decisions to customer and business outcomes.
- Strong communication, consensus-building, cross-team influence, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Track record of mentoring engineers, collaborating with Engineering Managers, and contributing to engineering-wide communities and learning.
