Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust backend solutions using Java 17+ and the Spring ecosystem.
- Modernize existing applications, address technical debt and obsolescence, and contribute to new solution development.
- Investigate complex technical issues using logs and monitoring data, perform root cause analysis, and improve application resilience.
- Apply security-by-design practices covering authentication, authorization, secrets management, data protection, OWASP risks, and dependency vulnerabilities.
- Improve application performance, code quality, error handling, reliability, maintainability, and observability.
- Support integration with web and mobile applications and maintain technical documentation.
- Automate testing to support reliable and stable production releases.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Java development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including root-cause investigation using logs and monitoring data.
- Good knowledge of MS SQL.
- Experience with OpenShift and GitLab CI.
- Strong understanding of software testing, application security, and OWASP best practices.
- Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry and/or the ELK Stack.
- Basic knowledge of Angular and mobile environments including iOS, Android, and Capacitor.
- Fluency in French is mandatory.
- Banking or financial services experience, application modernization experience, and high-availability application experience are bonus qualifications.
