Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to investigate, plan, gather requirements, design, develop, test, document, analyze, and support software systems.
- Develop and maintain web-based applications using Ruby on Rails and full-stack technologies.
- Translate software designs and specifications into applications, including developing block diagrams and logic flow charts.
- Test, debug, integrate, and refine software components to meet project objectives and improve product quality.
- Enhance applications to improve efficiency, performance, and functionality.
- Prepare program-level and user-level documentation.
- Provide technical direction to programmers and assist application engineers with requirements interpretation, coding, integration, and testing.
- Analyze functional business applications across finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and five years of experience.
- At least five years of full-stack application development experience.
- At least six years of experience developing web-based applications with Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with Linux environments, relational databases, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, data structures, and algorithms.
- Knowledge of IT operations practices including issue management and incident response.
- Experience with front-end and back-end API integration and information security best practices.
- Experience with Rails testing frameworks such as RSpec and Git is desired.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and a strong customer service commitment.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance are required.
- Ability to reside in the Albuquerque area and work onsite is required.
