Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java full-stack services and React-based interfaces for Medicare and Medicaid claims intake, validation, adjudication, status tracking, reporting, and error resolution.
- Implement backend API layers, data-access logic, and integration adapters for internal and external healthcare systems.
- Optimize application performance, throughput, latency, operational metrics, and claims-processing reliability.
- Translate eligibility rules, pricing logic, coverage policies, and regulatory requirements into technical designs and acceptance criteria.
- Perform unit, integration, and regression testing while protecting sensitive member and provider information.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, claims operations, quality assurance, and compliance stakeholders.
- Analyze production incidents, review logs and data flows, implement fixes, and prevent recurrence.
- Document design decisions, API contracts, data mappings, and deployment procedures.
- Contribute reusable components, coding patterns, and automation scripts to improve delivery efficiency and reliability.
- Participate in Agile planning, backlog refinement, standups, demos, code reviews, and iterative delivery.
Requirements
- Extensive experience developing React applications and working with modern frontend ecosystems, modular design, state management, and secure coding practices.
- Strong proficiency in Java full-stack development, including common frameworks, build tools, and testing practices.
- Hands-on experience with Agile delivery methods, incremental planning, continuous integration, and collaborative ceremonies.
- Proven expertise in Medicare and Medicaid claims, including eligibility, benefits, pricing, coordination of benefits, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working effectively in hybrid environments with strong communication, time management, and accountability.
- Understanding of secure software development, data privacy, and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Ability to collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
