Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, debug, and maintain full-stack software, spending at least 75% of the time coding.
- Own assigned work from design through production and deliver customer-specific solutions in collaboration with customers, Product Owners, and engineering teammates.
- Write and maintain end-to-end automated tests and participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Monitor production applications, investigate client-impacting issues, and help resolve them.
- Contribute to technical roadmaps, reusable and scalable engineering practices, and the responsible adoption of new technologies.
- Participate in a future on-call rotation supporting software owned by the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science or a related field.
- 3–7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Professional Python development experience and unit testing with PyTest or a similar framework.
- Familiarity with PHP and JavaScript; Vue.js or a similar front-end framework is an asset.
- Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, Git, Docker or similar containerization technologies, and cloud computing platforms.
- Exposure to SQLAlchemy and AWS is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of AI-assisted development practices and interest in current software engineering tools and practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in both French and English, with English required for collaboration outside Quebec.
