Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain secure-by-default Terraform and CDKTF/CDKTN modules for standardized Azure infrastructure deployments.
- Consult with engineering teams on cloud architecture, cost optimization, security, and platform standards.
- Develop automation and AI-driven interfaces that improve internal usability, onboarding, and developer productivity.
- Build and operate AI agents and MCP server integrations as production platform components, including their CI/CD, versioning, and evaluation.
- Drive security and compliance remediation across repositories and teams through automation and reusable patterns.
- Own shared observability and deployment tooling, including managed Grafana, alert quality, and deployment automation.
- Design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines and operational tooling.
- Document technical systems, explain complex concepts clearly, and contribute to platform strategy and cross-team technical direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree with 6+ years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of experience with Microsoft Azure and Terraform, or experience with AWS or GCP and a strong interest in Azure.
- At least 4 years of programming or scripting experience using modern software development practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience deploying and managing Azure infrastructure, including globally distributed, highly available, real-time, 24/7 systems, with the preferred qualifications listing 6+ years of such experience.
- Experience with Terraform and at least one programmatic Infrastructure as Code framework such as CDKTF, CDKTN, Pulumi, or Bicep.
- Hands-on experience deploying Terraform on Azure and migrating between Infrastructure as Code toolchains.
- Experience building or integrating AI agents, MCP servers, agent tooling, or LLM-based automation.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, Kubernetes and AKS, including admission policy and cluster platform services.
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or Azure Monitor and querying telemetry with Kusto or KQL.
- Experience operating in compliance-driven environments, driving remediation across teams, optimizing cloud costs, managing secure access control, and implementing automated governance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and an openness to learning and improving developer experiences.

- For Microsoft AI employees within a 50-mile commute of a designated U.S. Microsoft office or a 25-mile commute of a designated non-U.S. location, the expectation beginning January 26, 2026 is to work from the office at least four days per week, subject to local law and jurisdictional variation.
