Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend features and services using ASP.NET Core REST APIs, Azure Functions, SQL Server, and Azure CosmosDB.
- Develop .NET services in a microservices architecture with independently scalable and deployable service hosts.
- Build asynchronous, message-driven workflows using Azure Service Bus, including idempotency, retries, and resilient processing.
- Implement secure, performant data-access patterns supporting multi-tenant isolation and Row-Level Security policies.
- Use Azure services including Blob Storage, Azure App Configuration, Application Insights, and Entra ID.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests using xUnit, Moq, and FluentAssertions.
- Participate in CI/CD maintenance, Terraform infrastructure-as-code, Docker Compose development, and technical design decisions.
- Own projects from design through production, collaborate cross-functionally, define API contracts, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and technical debt, and promote AI-driven development approaches.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of professional software engineering experience with a backend and distributed-systems focus.
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET 8/10, including ASP.NET Core APIs, Azure Functions, and the isolated worker model.
- Hands-on SQL Server experience with T-SQL, Entity Framework Core, relational modeling, and Row-Level Security.
- Experience with at least one NoSQL database, preferably Azure CosmosDB.
- Experience building and operating Azure-hosted services such as Azure Functions, Service Bus, Blob Storage, App Configuration, and Application Insights.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization patterns including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and Auth0 or similar identity providers.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures and data-isolation patterns.
- Ability to design and debug asynchronous, message-driven systems involving queues, event-driven processing, idempotency, and retries.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong unit and integration testing discipline using xUnit, Moq, FluentAssertions, or equivalent tools.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Azure CosmosDB SQL API or Gremlin graph API experience, microservices boundary design, enterprise security-domain exposure, and compliance-ready product experience involving SOC 2, FedRAMP, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
