Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, deploy, and support applications and services for Mastercard products and platforms.
- Build secure, scalable, resilient cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
- Develop and enhance APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
- Own application and component delivery, including testing, deployment, production support, monitoring, logging, and observability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development, test, and production environments.
- Contribute to deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, secure coding standards, and engineering best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities.
- Improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, SREs, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid previous professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and modern Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Working knowledge of Ruby and experience building or maintaining Ruby-based applications or automation solutions.
- Experience designing and developing distributed systems and microservices.
- Experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, API Gateway, and SNS/SQS.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with automated testing, code quality tools, and secure coding practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
