Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, maintain, deploy, and support applications and services for Mastercard products and platforms.
  • Build secure, scalable, resilient cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
  • Develop and enhance APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
  • Own application and component delivery, including testing, deployment, production support, monitoring, logging, and observability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development, test, and production environments.
  • Contribute to deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, secure coding standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities.
  • Improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, SREs, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Solid previous professional software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and modern Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
  • Working knowledge of Ruby and experience building or maintaining Ruby-based applications or automation solutions.
  • Experience designing and developing distributed systems and microservices.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, API Gateway, and SNS/SQS.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with automated testing, code quality tools, and secure coding practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
