Base Salary
$117k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build cloud infrastructure automation tools, frameworks, workflows, and validation platforms for public cloud environments.
- Design, develop, debug, operate, and optimize resilient distributed systems across thousands of compute nodes and multiple data centers.
- Develop and ship production-grade backend software, including containerized microservices and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Use AI development tools and advanced prompt engineering to create secure, reliable, and optimized code.
- Use and contribute to open-source technologies such as Spinnaker and Zookeeper.
- Evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
- Manage live services, technical debt, availability, resilience, performance, monitoring, and on-call incident response.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of backend software development experience.
- Deep programming knowledge in Java, Golang, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience owning and operating multiple instances of a critical service.
- Experience with critical infrastructure services including monitoring, alerting, logging, and reporting applications.
- Experience with distributed database systems and relational databases such as PostgreSQL is preferred.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor in development workflows.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and the ability to create precise prompts and reliable system context.
- Experience with Agile development and Test Driven Development.
- U.S. citizenship, operation on U.S. soil, and ability to meet customer and government screening standards, including CJIS fingerprint screening.
