Base Salary
$117k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver cloud infrastructure automation tools, frameworks, workflows, and validation platforms across public cloud platforms.
- Design, develop, debug, operate, and optimize resilient distributed systems across thousands of compute nodes and multiple data centers.
- Build production-grade software and use AI development tools, prompt engineering, and shared system context to improve code quality and reliability.
- Use open-source technologies and develop Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform.
- Build containerized microservices using Kubernetes, Docker, or Mesos.
- Design systems where AI agents integrate into human workflows and evaluate human- or AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and quality.
- Resolve complex technical issues, improve availability and resilience, manage live services and technical debt, and participate in on-call operations.
Requirements
- A related technical degree is required.
- At least 3 years of backend software development experience is required.
- Deep programming knowledge in Java, Golang, Python, or Ruby is required.
- Experience owning and operating multiple instances of a critical service is required.
- Experience with critical infrastructure services, including monitoring, alerting, logging, and reporting applications, is required.
- Experience with distributed database systems and relational databases such as PostgreSQL is preferred.
- Experience with AI tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor is required.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and the ability to create precise, structured prompts and reliable system context are required.
- Experience with Agile development methodology and Test Driven Development is required.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens operating on U.S. soil and able to meet applicable customer and government screening standards, including CJIS fingerprint screening.
