Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain software components using C, C++, and C# in a Windows environment.
- Contribute to product architecture evolution using mainstream design patterns and technologies.
- Support full-stack development across database, server, and web components.
- Collaborate with QA, UX, product management, and DevOps teams to deliver software features.
- Write maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and support continuous integration and delivery processes.
- Use Git or similar source-control tools for branching and collaboration.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and use collaboration tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
- Use Rockwell Automation-approved generative AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Typically at least two years of related experience.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and C# within the Microsoft development ecosystem.
- Experience with manufacturing automation systems or industrial software is preferred.
- Familiarity with SQL Server or similar relational databases is preferred.
- Experience with high-availability, multithreaded, and distributed systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, software design principles, and version-control systems such as Git is preferred.
- Experience with Agile development practices and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub is preferred.
- A master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- Experience with FactoryTalk or similar industrial control platforms is preferred.
- Exposure to .NET, REST APIs, and JavaScript frameworks is preferred.
- Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, and automated testing frameworks is preferred.
- Experience with generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex is preferred.
