Responsibilities
- Work closely with software engineers to build and maintain software applications.
- Learn and participate in the software creation process, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Build scripts to automate parts of the software development process.
- Learn debugging methodologies and investigate the root causes of software issues.
- Prepare technical or functional documents and reports as needed.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a Canada-based university bachelor’s degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge or experience with software engineering concepts, C/C++, Python, Windows PowerShell, Linux shell scripting, Perl, Java, JavaScript, or UML is encouraged.
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems, databases, cloud computing, web development frameworks, markup languages, defect tracking, testing, debugging, version control, security technologies, PC/CPU architecture, embedded systems, or microcontrollers is encouraged.
