Base Salary
$160k - $285k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance software components that integrate into larger enterprise frameworks.
- Define system architecture, gather requirements, and improve user experience and system reliability.
- Set technical direction with engineering management and product management while leading cross-team initiatives.
- Support release planning through effort, risk, and priority assessment, and collaborate on technical designs and feature execution.
- Conduct peer code reviews and promote continuous integration, testing, and reliable task and bug management.
- Prototype solutions to complex platform challenges and stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and advocate for platform technologies across cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in object-oriented design and programming.
- Fluency in Java and strong proficiency with core design patterns and architecture paradigms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience building modular, layered software using a disciplined and methodical approach.
- Ability to communicate architectural designs through UML or clear technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle, including source control, requirements specifications, unit and system testing, performance testing, and design reviews.
- Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams and delivering software in Agile environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience partnering with Product Management.
