Responsibilities
- Lead discovery with business, operations, and IT stakeholders and translate requirements into commercially and technically sound architecture.
- Own end-to-end solution design, including architecture, integration patterns, data flows, security posture, and non-functional requirements.
- Act as design authority and make technical trade-off decisions for client engagements.
- Lead a squad of mid-to-senior consultants by setting direction, allocating work, unblocking delivery, and maintaining quality.
- Write code, build reference implementations, and validate technically difficult solutions hands-on.
- Lead AWS migrations, including contact-centre migrations to Amazon Connect with gap analysis, cutover, and rollback planning.
- Design data and AI-enabled capabilities using AWS services, Amazon Bedrock, and Amazon Connect AI agents.
- Mentor consultants and create reusable reference architectures, accelerators, and delivery patterns.
- Provide occasional pre-sales support by shaping solutions and estimates.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, architecture, or technical consulting, including significant consulting, systems integrator, or partner experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end AWS solution design for enterprise clients.
- Experience leading a delivery team or squad, including mentoring and quality accountability.
- Deep AWS knowledge across compute, containers, serverless, storage, networking, and data services.
- Strong development capability in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform.
- Security and compliance literacy and experience delivering in regulated environments such as financial services, superannuation, health, or government.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and technical documentation skills.
- AWS Professional-level Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification, or equivalent demonstrated depth.
- Australian work rights and ability to obtain a police check.
- Amazon Connect delivery experience is highly regarded, including contact flows, routing and queue architecture, Lambda integrations, Contact Lens, and outbound campaigns.
- Contact-centre domain knowledge, generative AI delivery experience, CRM and enterprise integration experience, telephony and networking fundamentals, and relevant compliance experience are highly regarded.
