Responsibilities
- Define technical architecture for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementations, including integrations, data flows, and application development strategies.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and recommend appropriate tools, frameworks, and technologies.
- Lead development of X++ customizations, extensions, workflows, data entities, and integrations within D365 F&O.
- Design and implement integrations using APIs, data connectors, integration tools, and Azure Logic Apps.
- Manage data mapping and transformation to maintain data integrity across systems.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and improve systems through code optimization, database tuning, and configuration changes.
- Review development work for alignment with architecture, maintainability, performance, and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams and collaborate with functional consultants.
- Support test case planning, acceptance testing, release management, and client action plans.
- Travel interstate when required for project delivery.
Requirements
- Deep technical knowledge and development experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Experience developing D365 F&O extensions and customizations using X++, data entities, and workflows.
- Experience designing and implementing system integrations with D365 F&O, preferably using Microsoft Azure Integration Architecture and Logic Apps.
- Strong technical requirements-gathering skills and experience creating custom data entities and synchronization solutions.
- Familiarity with D365 F&O security policies, custom workflow business processes, integration options, and underlying technologies.
- Experience using Azure DevOps or JIRA, test case planning, acceptance testing frameworks, and release management.
- Understanding of D365 F&O core modules, including Finance, Sales, Procurement, Inventory, and Production.
- Experience with system integration methodologies, cloud-based development, and performance optimization.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver complex projects across multiple industry sectors.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, interpersonal, client management, and action-plan management skills.
- Australian citizenship is preferred; candidates must be eligible to obtain security clearance, and existing clearance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Permanent residents are also considered.
