Responsibilities
- Own and shape the architecture of Reddit’s Android Mobile App.
- Propose ideas to enhance Android at Reddit.
- Improve Android developer experience through tools and CI integrations.
- Define and operationalize guardrails for code quality.
- Build and evolve Android client health and observability foundations.
- Apply AI to engineering workflows for improved productivity.
- Mentor and support Android engineers through design reviews and documentation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience with 3+ years in Android applications.
- Experience working in a large codebase serving ~100 engineers.
- Familiarity with modern Android development technologies like Jetpack Compose and Kotlin coroutines.
- Strong background in Android platform/infrastructure work.
- Passion for developing scalable, well-designed software.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Practical experience applying AI to engineering workflows.
