Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable full-stack applications for finance model execution and enterprise data platforms.
- Build React.js user interfaces and Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and Python backend services.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven solutions, reusable components, application frameworks, and shared services.
- Analyze requirements, assess system impacts and risks, provide estimates and technical recommendations, and collaborate with architects, product owners, and stakeholders.
- Support production applications, troubleshoot issues across user interfaces, middleware, messaging platforms, and databases, and monitor application performance.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident management, root cause analysis, deployment, disaster recovery, high availability, and release activities.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests and contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Work with global technology teams and lead a team of Data Engineering associates.
Requirements
- Strong experience building web applications with React.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong experience developing backend services with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Experience implementing event-driven architecture with Kafka and using Python for automation, data processing, or backend services.
- Advanced SQL development and database design experience with Oracle and Netezza.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and incident-management skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience with AWS and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Financial-services, banking, risk, treasury, forecasting, or regulatory-reporting experience is highly desirable.
