Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Audit and refactor internal tools and services to comply with 12-factor application principles.
- Deliver full-stack services with Go or Python back ends and React or Vue front ends.
- Decompose monolithic scripts into independently deployable services with defined interfaces.
- Design and support REST and gRPC APIs, automation services, and platform architecture.
- Build and maintain Grafana dashboards, Prometheus exporters, Loki log aggregation, alerting rules, SLIs, and SLOs.
- Instrument services with traces, metrics, and structured logs, including RED metrics, JSON logs, PromQL, and LogQL.
- Refactor deployment pipelines into Kubernetes-native GitOps workflows using GitLab CI/CD and ArgoCD.
- Establish automated unit, integration, and contract testing gates.
- Mentor developers, conduct architecture reviews, enforce coding and design standards, and reduce technical debt.
- Automate and orchestrate infrastructure using Ansible, AWX, and Terraform, while overseeing services such as Harbor and GitLab.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with technical leadership and architectural design experience.
- Strong full-stack development skills, including React or Vue and deep back-end experience.
- Hands-on expertise designing and operating Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki, including dashboards, PromQL, LogQL, exporters, and instrumentation standards.
- Production experience auditing and refactoring applications for 12-factor compliance.
- Deep expertise in Python and Go for distributed systems and enterprise APIs.
- CKA or CKAD certification is strictly required, along with hands-on Kubernetes experience on on-premise clusters; Rancher experience is preferred.
- Strong experience with OpenStack, private-cloud environments, foundational infrastructure networking, Ansible, AWX/Tower, Harbor, and GitLab.
- Expertise in software delivery practices, refactoring, automated testing, and GitOps with ArgoCD.
- Experience with internal developer portals or operational tooling, distributed tracing with Jaeger, Tempo, or OpenTelemetry, and large-scale SRE principles is preferred.
- Familiarity with Bare Metal as a Service provisioning, ITIL change management, and establishing engineering standards is preferred.
