Base Salary
$140k - $164k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain testing frameworks for on-vehicle software and cloud-based services.
- Design, develop, and maintain hardware test stands for vehicle subsystems.
- Maintain the continuous integration pipeline for reliability, speed, and cost effectiveness.
- Develop internal software tooling in partnership with hardware and software teams.
- Contribute to regulatory documentation, software traceability, and test protocols.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to testing and validation engineers.
- Lead projects when appropriate and ensure milestones are defined and achieved.
- Drive testing strategy, capabilities, priorities, and roadmap alignment with company milestones.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software development experience using Python and C++ or Rust.
- At least 2 years of experience building test software or internal tooling, including for hard-tech products and cloud software.
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing and software-in-the-loop simulations.
- Working proficiency with Linux, DevOps, cloud services, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical design, set direction, and mentor engineers.
- Experience in safety-critical domains such as autonomous vehicles, industrial control, or aerospace is preferred.
- Knowledge of rail control systems and experience with polyglot codebases are preferred.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and balance technical depth with product impact is preferred.
