Responsibilities
- Architect, provision, and maintain modular AWS infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CDK across multiple environments.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI and GitOps engines such as Argo CD.
- Manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes/EKS or ECS, including image builds, caching, and cluster scaling.
- Implement observability, SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, alerting, and structured incident-response processes.
- Integrate vulnerability scanning, identity and access controls, RBAC, and secrets management into delivery workflows.
- Develop Python or Go automation tools and scripts for operational tasks, backups, and disaster recovery validation.
- Partner with engineering teams on cloud consumption monitoring, resource optimization, and automated scaling policies.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise systems on AWS, including VPC, IAM, EKS/ECS, RDS, S3, and EventBridge.
- Deep operational experience with Terraform or AWS CDK, including state management and module design.
- Strong Docker experience and hands-on Kubernetes/EKS or AWS ECS operations, including Helm templating.
- Extensive experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, linting, security scanning, and artifact management.
- Proficiency in Python with boto3 or Go, plus Linux shell scripting with Bash.
- Experience implementing logging, metrics, and tracing platforms such as Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana, along with on-call incident response.
- Preferred experience includes Argo CD or Flux, policy-as-code frameworks, MLOps infrastructure, OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, and AWS or other cloud certifications.
