Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, support, and enhance Appian applications.
- Build process models, Appian SAIL interfaces, record types, reports, dashboards, business rules, expression rules, and integration objects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams to analyze requirements, improve business processes, and design technical solutions.
- Implement integrations with enterprise systems, REST APIs, databases, and external applications or services.
- Develop and optimize data models and database queries while supporting secure and scalable data exchange.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide estimates and technical input, and support automated deployment practices where applicable.
- Troubleshoot incidents, defects, and production issues; support testing, deployment validation, releases, root cause analysis, and documentation.
- At senior and architect levels, mentor developers, review architectures, define standards and governance, and drive platform adoption and strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in software development, BPM, workflow automation, or low-code platforms.
- Experience developing applications with the Appian platform, including SAIL, process modeling, record types, rules, integration objects, and data management.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Junior Developer/Associate roles require 3–6 years of software development experience.
- Senior Developer/Lead Developer roles require 6–10 years of software development experience and strong Appian expertise with mentoring or technical leadership capability.
- Solution Architect roles require 10+ years of technology experience, significant Appian architecture and enterprise solution design experience, and experience leading large-scale Appian implementations and platform strategy.
- Preferred qualifications include Appian 22.x, 23.x, 24.x, or newer experience; Appian administration; cloud or on-premises deployments; CI/CD and DevOps practices; regulated-industry experience; and exposure to enterprise architecture, integration frameworks, and digital transformation.
