Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and microservices architecture.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions in collaboration with business teams, architects, QA, DevOps, and client stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, payment service integrations, and enterprise applications for Money platforms.
- Drive technical design discussions, code reviews, coding standards, and software development best practices.
- Mentor and guide developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze and resolve complex production issues, performance bottlenecks, and system stability challenges.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability for high-volume transaction processing.
- Apply secure coding standards, API security practices, and compliance requirements.
- Support testing, deployments, and production releases with QA and operations teams.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, technology roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of hands-on Java/J2EE application development experience, including at least 2 years in a lead role.
- Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, microservices, and SQL.
- Experience designing and developing enterprise-scale applications and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, architecture principles, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Exposure to CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms is advantageous.
- Digital Payments, Mobile Wallets, FinTech, Banking, Telecom Financial Services, remittance, merchant payments, QR payments, banking integrations, eKYC, or digital financial services experience is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, mentoring, and technical discussion leadership skills.
