Responsibilities
- Build and validate conversational AI agents in Sierra Agent Studio using Journeys, Conditions, Rules, Policies, Tools, and Configuration.
- Implement code-defined agent behavior in the Agent SDK using TypeScript/JavaScript, JSX, hooks, tool registration, and lifecycle events.
- Author and stabilize instruction-driven and scenario-based simulations, including critical-simulation enforcement.
- Integrate agents with APIs, enterprise systems, contact-center platforms, queues, and telephone numbers with attached data.
- Participate in workspace development, merge requests, snapshots, workspace reviews, releases, and approval gates.
- Contribute to CI/CD by running simulations and wiring release checks.
- Design and develop data models and analytical solutions, optimize data analysis processes, and provide technical support for data science projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address data science needs and ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in conversational AI, agentic systems, or virtual-assistant development.
- 1–2 years of hands-on Sierra experience, including at least one delivered production Sierra project.
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript and JavaScript, including JSX and Sierra Agent SDK APIs.
- Hands-on knowledge of Sierra Agent Studio, Agent SDK, code-defined simulations, workspaces, snapshots, releases, Git, branching, merging, and code reviews.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience.
- Preferred experience with Ghostwriter, AI-assisted authoring, observability, traces, alerts, analytics, CSAT, resolution or containment rates, and Genesys or similar contact-center and telephony systems.
