Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical direction for reliable, secure application deployment capabilities across the OCI Developer Platform.
- Lead the design and delivery of production-quality distributed systems, platform services, or developer tools.
- Establish durable platform primitives and remove systemic barriers to developer velocity.
- Design scalable, available, secure, operable, and evolvable APIs, data models, and service architectures.
- Define strategy, align stakeholders, drive execution across teams, and remain accountable for production outcomes.
- Build technical alignment and influence decisions across engineering disciplines and organizational boundaries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- A record of leading the design and delivery of production-quality distributed systems, platform services, or developer tools.
- Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Java, Go, C++, C#, or Python.
- Deep experience with APIs, data models, service architectures, scalability, availability, security, operability, and long-term evolution.
- Understanding of cloud-native systems, containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, or release engineering concepts.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, ownership, strategy definition, stakeholder alignment, and cross-team execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience with application deployment platforms, continuous delivery, GitOps, artifact management, developer platform engineering, distributed systems, multi-tenant cloud services, control planes, workflow orchestration, or platform architecture.
- Preferred experience with site reliability engineering, incident response, observability, capacity planning, performance engineering, security engineering, identity and access management, policy-as-code, supply-chain security, compliance automation, AI-assisted developer tools, or agentic workflows.
