Base Salary
$98k - $122k/yr
Responsibilities
- Operate and continuously improve Rivian’s multi-cloud infrastructure across GCP and AWS.
- Operate and secure GCP networking, accounts, workload identities, IAM, and SSO.
- Enable and operationalize cloud services for AI/ML and LLM workloads, including AWS Bedrock and GCP AI platforms.
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform, AWX/Ansible, and CI/CD practices.
- Maintain and troubleshoot EKS/Kubernetes environments, HPC clusters, large-scale storage, and distributed systems.
- Implement observability practices using AWS CloudWatch, GCP Monitoring, and other tools.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
- Support cloud cost reviews and optimization efforts using a FinOps mindset.
- Use AI tools and coding agents to deliver cloud solutions and productionize applications.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating production workloads on GCP; AWS experience is a plus.
- Expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools including CloudFormation, CDK, and Terraform.
- Experience with configuration management using Ansible/AWX.
- Strong knowledge of GCP services including GKE, networking, Vertex AI, and Gemini.
- Practical experience with observability tools such as Datadog and strong distributed-systems debugging skills.
- Proficiency in a modern programming or scripting language such as Python or Go.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them to business needs.
- Proficiency in generating software using coding agents and productionizing vibe-coded applications.
