Responsibilities
- Evaluate requirements, solution designs, and proposed software solutions for operational feasibility.
- Develop, document, install, test, and maintain software solutions and system specifications.
- Conduct systems analysis, investigate problem areas, and recommend policy and process improvements.
- Study information needs, data usage, system flows, and work processes in collaboration with users.
- Apply software development life cycle, agile acquisition, and DevOps processes to cloud and non-cloud applications.
- Coordinate with network and systems teams to integrate software applications into existing infrastructure.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize development and service issues and recommend software or vendor solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a Department of Defense environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; additional experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
- In-depth experience with all phases of the software development life cycle and knowledge of a wide range of software languages.
- Experience with software design and working with end users to verify business requirements.
- Ability to work with network or systems teams on application integration.
- U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and pass a U.S. government security investigation.
- Detail orientation, strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, good communication skills, and professionalism with all organizational levels.
