Responsibilities
- Maintain and support production systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement SRE practices including monitoring, alerting, SLOs/SLIs, and incident response.
- Deploy, configure, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and configuration.
- Automate repetitive tasks using Python, Bash, Go, or comparable scripting languages.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and improve systems.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and resolve incidents promptly.
- Document procedures and configurations and complete post-incident reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps, or production support roles.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Helm, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Zipkin, Jaeger, and Datadog.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD, FluxCD, or Tekton.
- Scripting or programming proficiency in Python, Bash, Go, or comparable languages.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to investigate complex problems.
- Preferred: experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools; exposure to microservices and distributed systems; ITIL and incident/change management awareness; and experience in 24x7 or high-availability production environments.
