Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, debug, and maintain secure, high-quality production software.
  • Create architecture and design artifacts for platform services and complex applications while ensuring security, resiliency, scalability, and maintainability constraints are met.
  • Use automation and software development lifecycle tools to improve delivery, operational workflows, and developer experience.
  • Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability across applications and systems.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, tool and framework evaluation, and collaboration with partner platform teams.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Contribute to documentation, demos, brown bags, communities of practice, mentoring, and broader engineering practice improvements.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Production experience with one or more modern programming languages and frameworks or platforms such as Java, Spring, Go, Python, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Practical experience building and operating cloud-native services on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
  • Understanding of agile development practices, application resiliency, security fundamentals, and responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to assess technical solutions from customer and business perspectives.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience in financial services or regulated technology, public cloud or developer platforms, mentoring engineers, improving developer experience, and increasing platform reliability or operational efficiency at scale.
