Responsibilities
- Design and build a scalable, reliable, and developer-friendly internal developer platform.
- Develop self-service tooling and abstractions that improve developer experience and team velocity.
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Helm, and Crossplane while promoting GitOps practices.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and tracing foundations in collaboration with Site Reliability Engineering.
- Implement automated security controls, support compliance, and participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
- Mentor engineers, coordinate technical upgrades with stakeholders, and manage relationships with service providers.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing, building, and operating production applications at scale.
- Excellent technical leadership, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Deep expertise with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, with AWS preferred.
- Hands-on experience architecting, managing, and maintaining production Kubernetes clusters.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and resiliency patterns.
- Proven expertise with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps patterns, and Infrastructure as Code technologies.
