Responsibilities

  • Design and build a scalable, reliable, and developer-friendly internal developer platform.
  • Develop self-service tooling and abstractions that improve developer experience and team velocity.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Helm, and Crossplane while promoting GitOps practices.
  • Establish monitoring, logging, and tracing foundations in collaboration with Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Implement automated security controls, support compliance, and participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
  • Mentor engineers, coordinate technical upgrades with stakeholders, and manage relationships with service providers.

Requirements

  • Strong experience designing, building, and operating production applications at scale.
  • Excellent technical leadership, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
  • Deep expertise with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, with AWS preferred.
  • Hands-on experience architecting, managing, and maintaining production Kubernetes clusters.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems and resiliency patterns.
  • Proven expertise with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps patterns, and Infrastructure as Code technologies.
