Base Salary

$224k - $357k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, deploy, and scale distributed cloud-based systems for a high-performance SaaS/PaaS platform.
  • Develop and scale RESTful, gRPC, and MCP APIs and backend services.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver features, optimize systems, and improve platform reliability.
  • Influence the technology stack, architecture, and development methodology.
  • Drive automation, monitoring, performance tuning, fault tolerance, and observability.
  • Build and maintain scalable test harnesses for validating system performance at scale.
  • Mentor engineers and raise the engineering bar through technical excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent program, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 12 years of hands-on industry experience delivering SaaS/PaaS solutions.
  • Experience with Java, Golang, Python, Spring Boot, Kubernetes operators, Kubernetes, ECS, and OpenStack.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, distributed-system design, high reliability, fault tolerance, scalability, and observability.
  • Experience with Cassandra and Redis.
  • Ability to write testable, maintainable, and performant code.
  • Strong initiative, adaptability, interpersonal skills, ownership, communication, and operational excellence.
  • Preferred experience analyzing cloud-service data and using AI-assisted development tools or LLMs to improve productivity.
