Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, test, and support business and manufacturing software processes and systems.
- Develop engineering and data-analysis systems using VB.NET, ASP.NET, and C#.
- Create and optimize image-processing algorithms and support imaging systems, optical equipment, cameras, APIs, quality-control benches, and measurement equipment.
- Convert legacy ASP and VB applications to ASP.NET Core and C#.
- Integrate manufacturing execution systems with SAP ERP.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Quality, and IT teams across multiple regions.
- Provide rotating off-hours support for existing software and equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, optics, or a similar field.
- At least 2 years of software development experience in manufacturing, engineering design, or scientific research.
- Extensive knowledge of the .NET ecosystem, including VB and C#.
- Experience in manufacturing IT or engineering and experience developing or supporting imaging systems.
- Knowledge of signal and image-processing algorithms, SQL databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, data analysis, business modeling, and optimization algorithms.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and regions; self-motivated, organized, process-oriented, customer-focused, and mechanically inclined.
- Knowledge of optics, chemistry, life science, SAP ERP, Python, or cloud application development is desirable.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
