Base Salary

$75k - $104k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement digital, automation, and process-control solutions for manufacturing plants.
  • Use programming, web technologies, data analytics, and statistical analysis to optimize manufacturing processes and improve process capability.
  • Work with manufacturing teams to define controls hardware platforms and systems for process-control implementations.
  • Identify optimization opportunities, develop project proposals, and lead cross-functional digital-transformation projects.
  • Analyze process data and collaborate with multidisciplinary subject-matter experts to understand manufacturing processes.
  • Transfer new process-control technologies and methodologies into manufacturing and train manufacturing and engineering personnel.
  • Document findings and implemented technologies in technical reports and functional specifications.
  • Generate intellectual property through invention disclosures and patent applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least five years of manufacturing industry experience with a record of implementing automation or optimization projects.
  • Programming experience with Python, C#, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with web development, .NET, Flask, Microsoft IIS, Visual Studio, and Git.
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Preferred experience applying process control, including process-data analysis, system modeling or identification, and control-loop design or tuning.
  • Preferred experience with statistical analysis methods and Lean-Optimization such as Six Sigma or DMAIC.
  • Preferred experience with ChatGPT and RAG implementations.
  • Familiarity with model-predictive, multivariable, nonlinear, and classic PID process-control technologies.
  • Preferred machine-vision experience including algorithm development, coding, and industrial-camera use.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present proposals across multiple organizations.
