Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement digital, automation, and process-control solutions for manufacturing plants.
Use programming, web technologies, data analytics, and statistical analysis to optimize manufacturing processes and improve process capability.
Work with manufacturing teams to define controls hardware platforms and systems for process-control implementations.
Identify optimization opportunities, develop project proposals, and lead cross-functional digital-transformation projects.
Analyze process data and collaborate with multidisciplinary subject-matter experts to understand manufacturing processes.
Transfer new process-control technologies and methodologies into manufacturing and train manufacturing and engineering personnel.
Document findings and implemented technologies in technical reports and functional specifications.
Generate intellectual property through invention disclosures and patent applications.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
At least five years of manufacturing industry experience with a record of implementing automation or optimization projects.
Programming experience with Python, C#, HTML, and JavaScript.
Experience with web development, .NET, Flask, Microsoft IIS, Visual Studio, and Git.
Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL, and Power BI.
Preferred experience applying process control, including process-data analysis, system modeling or identification, and control-loop design or tuning.
Preferred experience with statistical analysis methods and Lean-Optimization such as Six Sigma or DMAIC.
Preferred experience with ChatGPT and RAG implementations.
Familiarity with model-predictive, multivariable, nonlinear, and classic PID process-control technologies.
Preferred machine-vision experience including algorithm development, coding, and industrial-camera use.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present proposals across multiple organizations.
