Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Build and maintain algorithms and data pipelines that integrate with appropriate systems.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure software implementations meet design constraints.
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and visualize large and diverse datasets to improve software applications and systems.
- Identify patterns and hidden problems in data and use insights to improve coding practices and system architecture.
- Guide peers on responsible and effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Strong experience with Python, Databricks, AWS, and building and maintaining data pipelines.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Understanding of application resiliency, security, and related engineering practices.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies are preferred.
