Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and review secure, high-quality software solutions for cloud deployments.
- Define and drive technical target states for products involving cloud infrastructure, big data solutions, and infrastructure as code.
- Create high-level and technical architecture documentation, including architecture, sequence, component, use case, and network interaction diagrams.
- Design and deploy scalable operational data platforms and data lakes on AWS.
- Automate AWS infrastructure deployment and management using Terraform.
- Participate in architecture governance, technology evaluations, vendor assessments, and technical solution planning.
- Automate remediation of recurring issues and promote CI/CD, security, agile practices, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology Systems, or a related field plus 7 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree in one of these fields plus 5 years of relevant experience.
- Five years of experience designing target-state solutions and architecture documentation using Lucidchart artifacts.
- Five years of experience with Athena, EMR, Terraform, AWS infrastructure including EC2 and CloudWatch, MongoDB, big data frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive, and OLTP/OLAP data modeling.
- Three years of experience designing and building data lakes using AWS S3, AWS Glue, and AWS Lake Formation.
- Three years of experience deploying scalable and secure data lakes with AWS Lake Formation.
