Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure as code while managing cost, security, compliance, and reliability.
  • Maintain account, user, authentication, authorization, subscription, and lab-test billing systems.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines and improve developer tooling and AI coding-agent tooling.
  • Design access controls, secrets handling, and logging for PHI and HIPAA-conscious operations.
  • Triage, fix, test, deploy, and follow up on customer-reported bugs and production issues.
  • Review platform changes, cover for the infrastructure lead, and contribute to backend, frontend, and other product features.

Requirements

  • Experience running production infrastructure in AWS or another cloud and managing it with infrastructure-as-code tools, ideally OpenTofu or Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of networking, IAM, and distributed-system debugging.
  • Comfort working across infrastructure, backend services, and frontend systems.
  • Ability to make careful production changes, communicate technical tradeoffs, and support incident response.
  • Experience with Python, TypeScript, React, AWS services, CI/CD, identity providers, billing systems, or large language models is valuable; Go is a bonus.
  • Experience in a HIPAA-regulated environment or healthtech, genomics, or precision medicine is a plus.
