Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain the OpenBMC firmware stack for Arm-based server platforms.
- Perform BMC firmware bring-up and platform enablement for new Arm-based server boards, including hardware integration, driver configuration, debugging, and validation.
- Develop and port BMC functionality across multiple Arm-based server platforms.
- Collaborate with SoC firmware and hardware teams to ensure correct system-level BMC operation.
- Contribute to the upstream OpenBMC community through platform support, patch submission, code reviews, and collaboration.
Requirements
- Require 4+ years of strong C/C++ programming and Linux shell scripting experience for embedded firmware development, debugging, and automation.
- Require hands-on experience with U-Boot, Linux kernel development, device-driver integration, OpenBMC architecture, D-Bus, systemd, and Linux debugging.
- Require familiarity with Git and strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of DMTF protocols such as PLDM, MCTP, and SPDM; OCP server-manageability specifications including DC-SCM; upstream OpenBMC contribution; ASPEED or Nuvoton BMC SoCs; and hardware schematic and board-level interface interpretation.
