Responsibilities

  • Own the fingerprinting roadmap from signal collection in iOS, Android, and server-side systems through feature engineering pipelines.
  • Build and harden device fingerprinting systems for persistent identity, rooted or emulated device detection, hardware attestation, and spoofing resistance across web and mobile.
  • Develop network intelligence signals including IP reputation, proxy/VPN/datacenter detection, TLS/JA4 fingerprinting, carrier and MCCMNC enrichment, and traffic classification.
  • Apply anomaly detection, clustering, supervised classification, and adversarial robustness techniques to fingerprinting problems.
  • Integrate low-latency fingerprinting features with Prelude’s real-time authentication risk scoring engine.
  • Research and reverse-engineer anti-detect tooling, automation frameworks, and fraud bypass techniques.
  • Define engineering standards, research practices, and data pipelines that can support a future fingerprinting team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in fraud detection, bot mitigation, mobile security, or detection engineering, with production systems experience.
  • Deep knowledge of mobile hardware signals, OS-level attestation, browser fingerprinting APIs, and spoofing or emulation detection.
  • Hands-on experience with TLS fingerprinting, IP enrichment, proxy/VPN classification, AS number analysis, and carrier-level signals.
  • Applied machine learning experience in feature engineering, anomaly detection, clustering, classification, and production deployment in a security context.
  • Knowledge of attacker techniques including emulators, spoofing, anti-detect browsers, and residential proxy networks.
  • Ability to design simple and robust systems that operate at scale under adversarial pressure.
  • Fluent English.
  • Familiarity with phone or SIM authentication, GSMA intelligence, or telco APIs is preferred.
  • Experience with JA4 or other network fingerprinting techniques is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Go, Rust, or Python is preferred.
  • Experience with stream processing systems or OLAP stacks is preferred.
  • iOS or Android SDK internals knowledge is preferred.
  • Published research, open-source contributions, or technical writing in fraud or bot detection is preferred.
